Top 5 Books on Grief

Reading can be a great source of comfort during times of grief. Hearing from other people’s experiences with grief and loss can help us realize we are not alone in our grief, and can give us hope that we too will one day find our peace and acceptance. Below are some books that have helped me a lot in overcoming my grief:

Imagine Heaven: Near-Death Experiences, God's Promises, and the Exhilarating Future that Awaits You - By: John Burke Heaven: Near-Death Experiences, God’s Promises, and the Exhilarating Future That Awaits You by John Burke.

My Review: This book features hundreds of pages of amazing stories about people who claimed to have visited heaven after having a near death experience.  After my mom died, I needed reassurance that she was “okay” and in a better place free of pain and suffering.  Reading this book helped me have hope and even validate of a lot of the signs — visitations of my mom in dreams — I have experienced after her death that seemed too real to be considered a coincidence or just a dream. The author, John Burke, also incorporates Scripture throughout the book, and each story helps us answer questions like — Will I see my family and friends in heaven? What will heaven be like? What is God like?
